If not why not just go speak to them?
I guess it could be that he dishonoured his parents (e.g by being gay or something) and his parents told everyone he was dead. Or similar. But this doesn't have much context.
Ummm it's from postsecret. it's this website where people send it short secrets on a postcard, it's not supposed to explain everything but just briefly what a person's secret is, even if it only makes sense to them. Idk why he doesn't go speak to them, I just found this extremely sorrowful.
